Hi, hi, After all is said and done here in the US of A, we have two candidates vying to be President and lead the country. Hopefully that leadership will put us back on some kind of sound footing. One of the candidates wants to borrow $2 trillion dollars, to take care of the war and whatever other war, he has intentions of
possibily starting, and continue the practice of giving more tax cuts to the rich who don't need the money. The other is being accused of being a tax and spend liberal, who will increase the taxes of the wealthy and scare the older people, who are on Social Security. These two are wrestling, with trying to define themselves, before the other succeeds in defining them.
One is being portrayed as a neophyte, while the other is being shown, repeating his own words, that the US army may be in Iraq for 100 years, and that's alright with him, someone called him GI Joe. One is a leo (lion), and the other fancies himself as a lion, strong and able to defend the country in time of war as he was a pilot in the Navy. His plane was shot down, I believe and he was taken as a prisoner of war for five brutal years. My thought is that being a hero, that he is, having served his country, does not give him carte blanc to stroll into
the oval office as President. Show me the money! After seven year plus, of the current administration, we need someone who can think, and reason to see the long, big picture, for the greater good. One who does not throw away the Writ of Habeas Corpus, as being some nonsensical piece of paper, that is meaningless, because he may not even be able to read it, let alone interpret it. Not some, made up story telling person, who starts wars, based on what somebody did or tried to do to their daddy. People with high strung personalities tend to do things irrationally sometimes, and after the crap this country has been through, I am hopeful, that the people will use good judgment and not let some blind spot, take them to a very dark place, that we may never, ever recover from. Hope springs eternal.

Under the same web address, read for your entertainment "The Olympic Runners 2008", which
is a tongue and cheek assessment of all those, who were initially running for the office of President, on both sides of the spectrum. Take care.

Thank you for your straight from the shoulder post and for the very interesting links.
I have discussed the matter extensively on Skype with Charlie a radio Ham friend K6HTM in Chico California. I know that Charlie's feelings are very much akin to yours as I not only carefully listen to his comments, but we also eyeball with our webcams and the 17 inch PC screens. At times body expression tells so much more.

Hi Skipper and Mrs., Now that just warms my heart, that you can cut through the chatter, and smoke and mirrors, and see and hear the real picture. Thank you so much. Talk to you soon. Take care of yourselves.
