Michael Phelps continues his quest for eight Gold medals, he goes for his sixth one today. His swimming style was analysed and it is reported that his wing span is 6 feet, 7 inches, 3 inches longer than his height. His size 14 feet, allow him to move his feet up and down at 15 degrees more than your average swimmer. See, I knew he was a fish disguised as a human.
He consumes around 12,000 calories a day where as you average person consumes 2,000 calories.
Amazing.
Liu of China won the first Gold medal for China
in swimming.

The Russians are supposedly leaving Gori, as the Georgian police take over. Five bomb explosions were heard today. Three more Russian tanks rolled into the area, but Russia says, the tanks are helping to clean up the area. How do tanks clean up an area? Secretary Condolezza Rice will be traveling to France to meet with President Sarkosky, who brokered the truce. Secretary Rice will then travel to Georgia in a show of U. S. support. She had previously stated that Russia cannot act as it did in 1968, threaten it's neighbors, invade and occupy a country, overthrow a Government and expect to get away with it. Now those are interesting words, going back to 2002, if I remember correctly.Where people were talking about mushroom clouds, and nuclear weapons that did not exist in Iraq. Do as I say, not as I do. Hmmmm!
Thirty thousand people have been displaced, hundreds of thousands killed, no one knows the actual number. There are food and water shortages. The U. S. is sending humanitarian supplies, and is asking Russia to not interfere with the planes carrying the supplies. The International leaders along with the U. S. are threatening to isolate Russia, kick it out of the G-8, and withdraw it's World Trade Organization membership.

Oprah Winfrey's endorsement is said to have been worth 1.5 million votes to Obama, but the real boost to his candidancy, is believed to have been, his winning of the Iowa caucus,
where he was embraced. Also, his almost flawless run campaign, put him in the driver's seat after that, and the absolute disasterous run Hillary Clinton campaign, where mounting debt and unco-ordinated messages lead to Clinton's defeat in the primary.
