Bigger problem for Senator Ensign, when the woman in question, became his mistress, he doubled her salary, he also increased her salary on a second job she was doing for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, he then hired her son who was paid for research performed. This all appears to be at taxpayer expense and thus the Republican's, who for the most part, because they are so classy, have refrained from making any comment, have been dragged into this.
