The votes are being counted in the Afghanistan presidential election, with a possibility of President Karzai receiving over 50% of the votes cast. But in the other corner, a U. N. commission is ordering a total recount of the votes, due to what has been called, "clear and convincing
evidence", of election fraud. An observer said that the questionable votes were in the areas of Afghanistan where it was too dangerous for the people to vote and those were the areas where the president had his strongest support. So it has been assumed that the Karzai supporters were trying to make up the difference for those who did not vote but wanted to vote for the president. A recount will take place according to the latest reports, the outcome to be determined. If the recount does not provide a clear victor, then will a new election be in the works? We await the answer.
The "gang of six", three Democrats and three Republicans are meeting to try to work out a cohesive plan for health care reform. Their plan is reportedly going to be introduced today, before the president speaks tonight. Reportedly the proposed plan does not contain a public option. Lawrence O'Donnell remarked on MSNBC that he does not think that the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi will request that the public option be a part of the reform package. My question, what then is the reason for the reform? Just end it now and let the insurance companies, drug companies and the Republicans mark up a victory, and allow the scalping of the public to continue, the costs of health care keep rising and the entire U. S. health care system keeps moving toward collapse. Great job guys.
President Obama comes out tonight after his speech to school children of America, on Tuesday, to stay in school and set goals. The speech was criticized by many, out of some belief that the children were going to be exposed to political rhetoric, wrong! He will now tackle health care reform in a speech at 8 p.m., before a joint session of Congress, to try to get Congress and the Senate to help the country, help itself by reducing the cost of rising health care through providing competition for the insurance companies with a public option health care plan for
consumers.

The West...most of it...have short memories - if any at all; goings-on in Afghan happened before....Does anyone remember what happened to the Russian backed regime does anyone remember...:no; does anyone know that Afghanistan has not yet been 'tamed' by any extraneous 'Force'? I stand corrected...if shown...
