The laboratory technician, Raymond Clark, III, who had been under surveillance by authorities, and had been taken in for questioning, was arrested and arraigned for allegedly murdering another worker at the laboratory where they both worked. Annie Li's body was found in the wall at the laboratory in Connecticut. The authorities were reportedly able to match the man's DNA to evidence in the investigation, and made the arrest soon after they had released the man, who they brought in for questioning. There are reports that the man was quite concerned with the mouse cages in the laboratory being clean as he was in charge of keeping the cages clean. He had written Ms Li an e-mail about the condition of the cages, which he thought were not as clean as they should have been. The woman was scheduled to get married, the day her body was found.
